Fastbraces is an innovative orthodontic technology used to safely straighten teeth
quickly and effectively.
Central Dental Surgery's Principle Dentist Doctor Irina Kvatch was one of the first Fastbraces providers in New Zealanders. With so many successful cases completed ranging from simple to extremely complex Doctor Kvatch was awarded New Zealand's first Master Affiliate Member of Fastbraces International.
Since it was developed over twenty years ago, thousands of patients have been treated with exceptional results. Peer reviewed research has shown that Fastbraces ® is not only safe and fast but offers many additional benefits. Patients typically experience less discomfort, are treated quicker and pay much less than patients with conventional braces. Fastbraces technology moves the crown and root of the teeth at the same time, from the beginning of the treatment. Patients can now get results often with less sensitivity, in about a year, and in some instances, just 3 months
Conventional braces with square brackets move teeth into position in two stages, usually over a period of at least two years. In the first year, the crown of the tooth is moved into alignment. In the second year, treatment addresses the position of the root of the tooth.
However, the brackets used with Fastbraces ® work on a different mechanical principle altogether. The patented system uses innovative triangle shaped brackets along with a heat treated wire to correct the position of the root of the tooth, from the beginning of treatment. This combination is key in realigning the root and crown simultaneously.
Treatment with Fastbraces ® Technology improves the patient’s lifestyle because treatment typically takes just a few visits at the doctor’s office. Another benefit is the reduction of retainer usage. When the braces come off patients are typically required to wear their retainer as often as they can for the first two months. Once two months have passed the patient can reduce retainer wearing time to just while they sleep. This will be then be reduced to just 15 minutes per day a few months down the track.
Sometimes when adults wear braces, they are afraid to speak up during a business meeting or enjoy the adventure of a first date. As frightening as it may be, Fastbraces ® Technology could be the fastest, most affordable and best alternative for you and can give you the advantage of a quick, permanent solution. Often Central Dental Surgery sees adult patients wearing their braces with pride, embracing their decision to align their teeth. The first question for a child who may need braces would probably be “how quickly can I get them off?” While there are no shortcuts in tooth straightening, Fastbraces ® Technology is different by design which allows for typically treatment time of one year or less, instead of two or more. Some patients even see results in as little as 3 months!
Misaligned teeth or a dysfunctional bite can be a problem for some children. While this can complicate their oral hygiene as well as make them feel self conscious. Fortunately, with Fastbraces ® Technology, some children as young as 10 can receive quick treatment with minimal discomfort.
